Voice
IRIS operates a state of the art voice network in conjunction with the tandem to enable carriers to deploy next generation voice services. These services include voice over IP, hosted IP PBX, hosted voicemail & auto-attendant services, and many other services that allow carriers to distinguish themselves from the competition. Our softswitch platforms utilize software and hardware from the leading manufacturers in the industry to provide these services.
IP
IRIS' converged core IP network is designed to support voice, video, as well as any other Internet services with the highest availability possible. It is the underlying core that supports all of our voice over IP and video over IP (IPTV) products, as well as our Internet transit products.
Off-Air Transport
Throughout the IRIS network we have strategic sites in major markets that allow us to pick up local terrestrial television. This content is presented to providers as video over IP in various industry standard formats including MPEG-2 and H.264/AVC (MPEG-4 part 10).
Tandem
The IRIS tandem leverages our extensive transport network to provide a single point-of-presence for interexchange carriers to reach rural markets.
